Consults and Evaluations

 

In-Patient or Hospital Consultations:

If a patient is admitted to the hospital or in the emergency room, Dr. Athni is available for in-patient consultations. All such in-patients must be "admitted" under the care of a Primary Care Physician (PCP), to handle all non-neurological care.

 

What Hospitals does Dr. Athni work in?

Dr. Athni predominantly works at Macon Northside Hospital, which is part of the Coliseum Health Systems.

 

Out-Patient or Office Consultations:

Dr. Athni will perform a detailed Neurological Consultation in our office. After the interaction, a report is dictated and typed. Typically within 72 hours after the office visit, this report is faxed to the referring physician.

 

Will Dr. Athni talk with the referring physician?

If there is an urgent matter or situation, Dr. Athni will call the referring physician immediately to discuss the issues.
