WHO files the insurance claims?

We will file your insurance with your insurance company, using the federally approved HCF-1500 claim forms.

 

WHEN are insurance claims filed?

Typically, we file your claim within 24-48 hourse after the office visit. Unfortunately, claims are very frequently "lost" by the insurance company. Hence, it can sometimes take a few months for your claim to be processed properly.

 

HOW are claims filed?

If your insurance company is setup for electronic filing, we will file this claim electronically through our computer system. Although many insurance companies are computerized, many are surprisingly not set up to receive electronic claims. For these companies, we will mail your printed claim using USPS.

 

How is Secondary Insurance handled?

We will NOT automatically file with your secondary insurance. You must file with your secondary insurance after you receive the EOB from your primary insurance company.
